Minimum Eligibility
1. The regulations state that your household income must be at a minimum of
$22,000 per year to a maximum of $66,010 per year.
2. At least 1 adult buyer must be employed for an average of 30 hours per week
and 1 year prior to purchase.
3. You are a first-time homebuyer which means you have not owned a home in the
past 18 months.
2. Complete the required one day Homebuyer Education class by calling
Neighborhood Housing Services at
412-281-9773.
3. If your financial credit score is greater than 580, then contact a bank
listed in our for a
mortgage preapproval letter. The preapproval letter must be for a first mortgage of a 30-year term and a
fixed interest rate.
We only we accept bank preapproval letters which means do
not use a mortgage broker.
